Auf dieser Seite werde ich in möglichst regelmäßigen Abständen (je nach Internetzugang und Zeit) über meinen Aufenthalt in Costa Rica berichten.
Ab dem 11.August 2014 werde ich für 12 Monate einen entwicklungspolitischen Freiwilligendienst mit Brot für die Welt in Costa Rica leisten. Ich "gehe also weltwärts". Das weltwärts-Programm ist ein vom BMZ gefördertes Programm, das junge Menschen zwischen 18 und 28 unterstützt einen Freiwilligendienst im Ausland zu machen und fördert dadurch die Völkerverständigung und bildet die "weltwärts-Freiwilligen" zu entwicklungspolitisch engagierten und sensibilisierten Erwachsenen aus. Als weltwärts-Freiwilliger ist man also sowohl Botschafter für Deutschland im Einsatzland als auch Botschafter für das Einsatzland und vor allem die Menschen dort in Deutschland. (Falls Du Dich gerade ärgerst, weil Du auch gerne weltwärts gehen würdest, aber gerade in einer Ausbildung steckst oder schon arbeitest: Viele Organisationen bevorzugen Leute mit Ausbildung und/oder Berufserfahrung. Bewirb Dich einfach!)

I am very happy that you somehow came across my website!
I am excited to share my adventure with everybody who is interested in it. It’s very important for me to make sure that I translate all of my blog entries into English just like I naturally write them in German. Only sometimes time is rare and it might take a little while until everything is translated. I hope you can be patient with me on that J
On this website I want to post about my stay in Costa Rica regularly (depending in the possibility of getting access to the Internet and having a little spare time left).
On August 11th 2014 I will leave to go to Costa Rica for 12 months in order to volunteer there with the NGO Bread for the World. I go “weltwärts”. The weltwärts-program is a scholarship-program which is funded by the BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development). The program supports young adults between the age of 18 and 28 years by sending them to volunteer abroad. Being abroad fosters cultural exchange and understanding and educates the ‘weltwärts-volunteers’ to become involved in the field of development policy and raise awareness. As a ‘weltwärts-volunteer’ you are an ambassador for Germany in your host country as well as an ambassador for your host country and the people there when you come back home.
